Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

• Must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
• Must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in PCB (40% for reserved categories).
• Must have a valid NEET-UG score.
• Must meet the age requirement as per NMC (National Medical Commission) norms (minimum 17 years).

Government Medical College (GMC), Doda, is one of the recently established government medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, functioning under the Department of Health and Medical Education. The college aims to provide high-quality medical education and healthcare services to the people of the Chenab Valley region. With modern laboratories, well-equipped classrooms, and a teaching hospital attached for clinical exposure, GMC Doda ensures students gain both theoretical and practical knowledge. The institution is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated with the University of Jammu. Its mission is to produce competent medical professionals who can contribute effectively to public health and patient care across India.

Step 1: Appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by NTA.
Step 2: Qualify NEET-UG with the required cutoff percentile.
Step 3: Register for the J&K NEET UG Counselling conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE).
Step 4: Participate in counselling, fill in preferences, and select Government Medical College, Doda as a preferred option.
Step 5: Based on merit and seat availability, receive allotment letter from JKBOPEE.
Step 6: Complete document verification and report to GMC Doda for admission and orientation.
