- Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) provides basic education in the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda. It prepares students of profound scholarship in the science of Ayurveda having basic and fundamental knowledge in different subjects of Ayurveda back up by extensive practical training. The program enables a student to become an efficient teacher, a research scholar and a competent Ayurvedic Physician and Surgeon to be able to contribute his mite in the medical and health services.

Eligibility
- Candidates who have passed PUC Examination of the PUC education board, Bangalore or any other examination recognized as equivalent therein with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate of the relevant science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) of the second year PUC examination only are eligible. Preference will be given to candidates knowing Sanskrit.

Admission Process:
- Total intake of 50 students per year for BAMS course is permitted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Bangalore, and approved by CCIM, Dept. of AYUSH, New Delhi. 30 students are admitted in management quota, 13 students are admitted by Govt of Karnataka quota through CET and 7 students are admitted through NEET all India quota.
