Advanced Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellowship

• Hold an MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.
• Meet eligibility requirements for a temporary or permanent Illinois Medical License.

The Advanced Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellowship is offered by the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in partnership with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. This one-year fellowship provides advanced clinical and clinical research training in pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors. The program is based at one of the largest pediatric brain tumor centers in the United States, caring for more than 160 pediatric brain tumor patients annually. Fellows receive comprehensive multidisciplinary training alongside specialists in pediatric neurology, neurosurgery, neuropathology, neuroradiology, neuropsychology, radiation oncology, rehabilitation, and survivorship care. They actively participate in weekly Brain Tumor Board meetings, journal clubs, didactic lectures, and multidisciplinary conferences. The fellowship offers extensive involvement in Phase I clinical trials and collaborative research through organizations such as the Children's Oncology Group, Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, NF-1 Consortium, and Collaborative Ependymoma Network. Fellows are encouraged to develop independent research projects, contribute to scientific publications, and prepare for academic careers as leaders in pediatric neuro-oncology.
