• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Board-certified in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Eligible to obtain an Illinois State Medical License.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

The Advanced Pediatric Cardiac Interventional Fellowship in Electrophysiology or Cardiac Catheterization is offered through the Division of Cardiology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, the primary pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. This one-year fellowship provides highly specialized clinical training in pediatric and congenital cardiac electrophysiology or interventional cardiac catheterization. Fellows receive extensive hands-on experience managing complex congenital and acquired cardiovascular disorders using advanced catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. The catheterization track includes training in approximately 1,000 invasive procedures annually, with fellows expected to participate in at least 250 procedures during the fellowship year. The electrophysiology track offers comprehensive exposure to diagnostic EP studies, catheter ablation, cardiac rhythm device implantation, pacemaker and ICD management, and electroanatomic mapping technologies. Fellows actively participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research supported by the Center for Cardiovascular Innovation. The program also emphasizes scholarly productivity, with fellows expected to complete and publish original research while developing advanced procedural and academic skills for leadership careers in pediatric cardiology.
