VHS-MACCON was started by the MAC (Educational) Foundation in 1991 to be an adjunct nursing talent incubator to the 465 bedded Voluntary Health Services Hospital. MACCON is affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University and is recognized by both the Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council and the Indian Nursing Council. MACCON mission is to enhance the health of the community by providing excellence in nursing education, nursing research and nursing practice. We will advance the profession of nursing and serve as an advocate for optimal healthcare for all people regardless of each’s economic status.
