Tagore Dental College and Hospital, Chennai

Tagore Dental College was started in 2007 with the permission of Dental Council of India (DCI) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India (GOI) for BDS course and with the affiliation with the state owned The TN Dr MGR Medical University. The recognition for BDS course was obtained in 2012. The MDS course in 4 postgraduate specialities was started with the permission of DCI and affiliation of the University in 2018.

Facilities:

Radiology & Pharmacy: The Radiology department has 3 Intra Oral X ray machines, and a manual and one digital Orthopantamograph, to take OPG and lateral Ceph, and Digital Printer. There are 2 X Ray developing machines, and a manual unit as well. Pharmacy is present in the college premises where the necessary medications are available for the patients at a reasonable price.

Examination Hall: The has an Examination hall to accommodate 200 students with CCTV cameras, Metal Detector and Mobile jammer. The seats provided are comfortable.

Common Rooms: There are separate boys and girls common rooms with facilities of lockers and also to rest. Separate rest rooms are available with running water facilities and drainage. Sanitary napkin incinerator is also available in the college.

Auditorium: Auditorium is available in the third floor where regular programs are conducted. It has a capacity of about 300. Academic, co curricular and cultural activities are organized here.
