Sri Shivayogeeshwar Rural Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital was established in 1996-97 with a motto of providing health and higher education to the rural masses of Belgaum. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is Recognized by Govt. of Karnataka. It is also permitted Under Section 13C & A of IMCC Act 1970, by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, as per the visitation recommendations made by Central Council of Indian Medicine – The APEX Body of Studies of Indian Medicine in INDIA, New Delhi.
