Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Memorial College of Nursing (SRMMCON) was established in the year 2002-2003 with an annual intake of 30 students for the Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course under the ambit of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. In the year 2005, SRMMCON started offering Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, in an attempt to provide a diploma to the nurses, as an opportunity to upgrade their educational status. They proudly claim to be the first college in the Vidarbha region to start this Post Graduate Course in Nursing in 2007, under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. SRMMCON came under the ambit of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University) in 2009 with A’ grade NAAC accreditation. Thereafter, in 2017, following the 3rd cycle of re-accreditation by the NAAC, the University has been re-accredited with an “A+” Grade, establishing it as a unique & distinctive University in the Health Sciences domain. Subsequently, it was placed in ‘Category-I Deemed to be University’ as per University Grants Commission (Categorization of Universities only) for grant of graded autonomy, regulations 2018. Currently, the courses offered by SRMMCON include Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 100 intakes, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with 50 intakes, M.Sc. Nursing with 27 intakes of students, PhD Nursing in all specialities, Fellowship Courses in Evidence-Based Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Critical care nursing and Geriatric Nursing are running smoothly under the roof of SRMM College of Nursing.
