Short Term Certificate Course (STCC) on Clinical Pathology

The applicants should have completed DMLT/ B.Sc Life Sciences/ B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology course.

Objectives

The objective of the programme is to impart handson training in Clinical Pathology Tests and make them proficient in this technique. This programme will be conducted by the Institute round-the-year i.e. 4 programs consisting of 6 students per programme.

Program Overview

The Programme will cover essential technical aspects for performing tests, controls, calibration in Clinical Pathology subdivisions of Hematology, Coagulation, Urine analysis, Cytology.

Practical Hands-on demonstrations and lectures will address appropriate reference values, newer equipment modalities, quality control, biologic process control, laboratory standards for hygiene, infection control, personnel qualifications, technician's role in quality, report generation and formatting.

Certificate of Participation

A test to be conducted at the end of the programme and a certificate will be issued to only those participants who attended the programme and qualified in the test.
