In recognition of the requirement of the needs of professional education in this rural part of the country and in order to share the burden of the government, the T.M.A.E.’ society has established Shri.Chandrashekhara Swamiji College of Pharmacy in the year 1979 with a D. Pharm. course with intake of 30 students. B.Pharm. course was started in the very next year i.e. in 1980, (This was the fourth oldest institution in the state of Karnataka) and subsequently M.Pharm. course in two specializations (Pharmacology and Pharm. Chemistry) was introduced in 1996 and were affiliated to Gulbarga University and later on to Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore. The institution is recognized by the Pharmacy council of India and All India Council for technical education.
