Saveetha Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), Chennai

Saveetha Medical College was established in a year 2008, located at Kanchipuram in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to Saveetha University (Deemed), Chennai. It has recognized for MBBS, MD, MS, DM, MCh courses under National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi. The college is ranked 25th by NIRF among the top 30 medical colleges in India 2019. Presently, it is also offering B.Sc., M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc. with Ph.D., at the PG level, & D.Sc. and Ph.D. at the research level.

Facilities:

Library:  The Central Library boasts of more than 15,000 medical books on a plethora of subjects, not academic alone. The modern Learning Management Software facilitates the search and selection of books. The library has more 1500 e journals including the top journals in each discipline, which facilitate higher learning and research.

Hostel Facility: Both the men’s and the women’s hostels are WiFi enabled buildings with airy generous interiors, and have round the clock electricity and water facilities.

Transportation Facility: SMCH boasts of luxury AC buses, availed to the staff and students alike, that travel to different corners of Chennai. Air conditioned buses shuttle to and fro, through out the city and are the majorly used means of transport in college.
