Residency in Internal Medicine

1. International medical graduates must have valid ECFMG certification.
2. Applicants must meet UCLA Graduate Medical Education eligibility requirements.
3. Applicants must satisfy applicable California licensing and visa requirements.

The UCLA Internal Medicine Residency Program provides comprehensive training in internal medicine through multiple academic and clinical sites. The program combines rigorous clinical education with opportunities in medical research, academic medicine, and professional development. Residents gain experience caring for diverse patient populations across inpatient and outpatient settings, with training in critical care, emergency medicine, subspecialty medicine, ambulatory care, and various elective areas. The program also provides opportunities for mentorship, research, and fellowship preparation in a wide range of medical subspecialties.

2. Submit the required application documents.
3. Application undergoes comprehensive review.
4. Selected applicants are invited for a virtual interview.
5. Submit your rank list through NRMP.
6. Match into the UCLA Internal Medicine Residency Program.
