Overview
The Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is an ACGME-accredited six-year residency program that provides comprehensive training in both Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and Interventional Radiology (IR). The program is designed to develop physicians with expertise in diagnostic imaging, image-guided minimally invasive procedures, and comprehensive patient care. Residents receive progressive clinical responsibility while gaining experience in pre-procedure evaluation, procedural techniques, and post-procedure management. The curriculum includes multidisciplinary conferences, research opportunities, and exposure to a wide range of vascular, oncologic, hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, and women's health interventions. Graduates are eligible to pursue American Board of Radiology (ABR) IR/DR board certification and careers in academic medicine or clinical practice.

Eligibility
- Hold an MD or equivalent medical degree (MBBS or equivalent for International Medical Graduates).
- Apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
- Participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
- Submit the following through ERAS:
- Personal Statement
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Medical School Transcript
- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Dean's Letter (MSPE)
- Recent Photograph
- USMLE Step 1 is required.
- USMLE Step 2 is not mandatory, but scores are considered if available.

Admission Process:
- Complete the residency application through ERAS.
- Upload all required supporting documents (CV, personal statement, transcript, Dean's letter, three letters of recommendation, and photograph).
- Submit USMLE Step 1 score (Step 2 score may be submitted if available).
- Register for and participate in the NRMP Match.
- Shortlisted applicants are invited for interviews.
- Final selection is made through the NRMP Match process, and matched candidates are offered admission to the residency program.
