Regional College of Nursing, Indrapur, Guwahati

Regional College of Nursing, the pioneer institute, offering university level nursing education, was established on 3rd October, 1977 under the NEC scheme and direct administrative control of Government of Assam. The College was formally inaugurated on 5th December 1977 by the then Governor of Assam & Meghalaya His Excellency Late L. P. Singh. It was through the tremendous and combined effort of two great personnel Late Dr. J. Mahanta, then Principal cum Chief Superintendent of Guwahati Medical College & Hospital and Mrs. A. Kerketta, the First Principal of Regional College of Nursing that this institution started functioning.
