Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Kadapa

This College was founded by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2006. The RIMS Medical College is the dream of our former Hon`ble Chief Minister Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy. It was inaugurated on 27th September, 2006. The main objective of establishment of this institute is to improve quality health care in this backward region and make medical education accessible to all the eligible students of the region. The Government of Andhra Pradesh had taken special interest in allocation of budget to this institute, close monitoring of quality of construction and completion of project within given time frame. In a few institutions such an infrastructure is available in the state.
