About

Radhakisan Toshniwal Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Akola, is one of the oldest Ayurvedic colleges in Maharashtra, serving the field of Ayurveda since 1955. It is a government-aided institution offering both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Ayurveda. The college features a well-constructed building, experienced teaching staff, dedicated non-teaching personnel, and well-maintained Kaumarbhritya and Panchakarma departments, which are considered major strengths. Established by Rashtriya Vaidyak Prasarak Mandal in 1955, the college received recognition in 1956 from the Vidarbha Ayurved Board to conduct a four-year BAMS course after matriculation. Following the merger of Vidarbha into Maharashtra in 1960 and the formation of the Maharashtra Ayurvedic Board and faculty, the MFAM course replaced the previous BAMS curriculum.
