Primary Care Residency Program

Step 1:

Complete an MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized medical school.

Step 2:

Register through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).

Step 3:

Prepare and submit required documents:

• Academic transcripts
• USMLE/COMLEX scores
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Personal statement
• Letters of recommendation
• Dean’s Letter/MSPE
• ECFMG certificate (for IMGs)

Step 4:

Apply to the Internal Medicine Primary Care Residency Track through ERAS.

Step 5:

Register with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Step 6:

Applications are reviewed by the Primary Care Residency Selection Committee.

Step 7:

Qualified applicants are invited for interviews.

Step 8:

Applicants participate in interviews with faculty members and program leadership.

Step 9:

Final rankings are submitted through the NRMP Match process.

Step 10:

Matched candidates complete onboarding requirements and begin residency training in July.
