Overview

The Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (ADMLT) at VIAS is a rigorous two-year paramedical credential aimed at producing skilled diagnostic laboratory professionals. The coursework advances beyond basic techniques to include clinical microbiology, immunoassays, molecular diagnostics, hematology, blood banking, pathological sample analysis, histopathology, virology, and bioinformatics fundamentals. Practical training is emphasized with lab-based assignments and a six‑month internship in recognized diagnostic labs, hospitals, and research centers. Students also learn lab‑management, biomedical waste disposal, ethics, and communication—preparing them for direct employment in healthcare labs, diagnostic chains, or further study in BMLT or B.Voc pathways. 

Eligibility

Completion of 10+2 from recognized board

Minimum ~45% aggregate in 10+2 (science—PCB—preferred but not strictly mandatory)

May require a personal interview and document verification during admission.
