Post Doctoral Fellowship in Renal Pathology

• Must be Board eligible or Board certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or AP/CP from an ACGME-accredited residency program
• Must have completed a Pathology residency (AP or AP/CP)
• Must hold an MD / DO or equivalent medical degree (standard requirement for pathology fellowships)
• Strong interest in renal (kidney) pathology and research (preferred but not mandatory)
• For international applicants: should meet ECFMG certification and visa eligibility requirements (as per U.S. fellowship norms)

The Renal Pathology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is an advanced subspecialty training program focused on the diagnosis and study of kidney diseases through detailed pathological evaluation. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in renal biopsy interpretation using light microscopy, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy, enabling fellows to develop expertise in glomerular, tubular, interstitial, and vascular disorders. Fellows work closely with nephrologists in a multidisciplinary environment to correlate clinical and pathological findings, while also participating in teaching, conferences, and research activities.
