Post Doctoral Fellowship in Neuro Anesthesia

Overview

• Candidates will rotate through neurosurgery operation theatres and Neuro intensive care and Neurotrauma ICU which has 18 beds. Candidates are exposed to Neuro radiology and undergo a short training in intraoperative neuromonitoring. There is ample opportunity for Hands-On training in procedures such as arterial cannulations,ultrasound guided and ECG guided central venous cannulations,fibreoptic and video laryngoscopic intubations. Candidates are exposed to Trans-cranial Doppler and intracranial pressure monitoring techniques. They also get an opportunity to train in EEG and depth of anaesthesia monitoring. Candidates have exposure to anaesthesia for stereotactic procedures,MRI,interventional and other neuroradiological procedures. They are also trained in anaesthesia for emergency neurosurgery. There is opportunity for research and trainees are encouraged to publish their work in peer reviewed journals. Before the completion of the course there is an exit practical exam conducted by the University.

Eligibility

• Applicants should have completed medical post graduation in Anesthesiology,MD/ DNB degree from a MCI recognized institute.
