Overview
- The Post Doctoral Fellowship shall carry fixed monthly fellowship at a rate, fixed depending upon the experience of the candidate, in any of the rates/groups prescribed by the Competent Authority.
- A Fellow may be permitted to attend an international conference abroad, once during his/her tenure for which he/she will treated to be on duty and shall be entitled to the payment as per approved rate.
- Daily Allowance for the period of conference, plus two days before and after conference at the applicable rate per day.
- Contingency grant of INR 25,000 per annum.

Eligibility
- Ph.D. in medical science and technology with a very good academic record throughout.
- Degree as referred above should have been awarded by a recognized University / Institute.
- Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final.
- The candidates should be preferably below 35 years of age.

Admission Process:
- Candidates possessing requisite qualification & experience are required to apply online through IIT Kharagpur official website.
- After Online Application, candidate should also send a signed hard copy print out of online application to “Assistant Registrar, PGS&R, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, 721302, West Bengal, India”.
- Unless the hard copy is received, the application will not be considered.
- Degree as referred above should have been awarded by a recognized University / Institute.
- Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final.
- No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of selection / interview.
- The Institute reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for interview after shortlisting with reference to the candidate’s qualification, suitability, experience, requirement, etc.
- The candidates should be preferably below 35 years of age.
- Canvassing in any manner would entail disqualification of the candidature.
- Any dispute with regard to the selection / recruitment process will be subject to Courts/ Tribunals having jurisdiction over Kolkata.
