Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS)

The Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS) offered by Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM), Gandhinagar, is a specialised professional program developed to meet the growing demand for qualified safety professionals in industrial sectors. The program is affiliated with the Technical Examinations Board (TEB), Government of Gujarat, and is aligned with the requirements of the Factories Act, 1948 and Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963. The curriculum focuses on industrial safety management, hazard identification, risk assessment, accident prevention, occupational health, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance. Students receive training in safety engineering, industrial hygiene, chemical industry safety, safety legislation, and advanced safety management practices. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical exposure through industrial visits, seminars, project work, and case studies.
