Overview

    Library: The Library is constructed in such a way so as to facilitate students learning. It comprises of Reading Rooms, Journal Section, facilities for Photocopying, Data processing and Internet browsing with good collection of latest edition of books and Journals of both Indian and foreign publications.

    Laboratory Facilities: The laboratories for Anatomy, Nutrition, Fundamentals of Nursing Maternal Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Maternity Nursing, Audio Visual Aids and Computers offer best learning facilities to develop the technical skills before the students have practice on patients.

    Clinical Experience: The Clinical experience of students are offered at Apollo Hospitals, Speciality Hospital and First Med Hospital which comprises of over 1000 bed strength in all. A variety of patients are available for the students to learn, both male and female, of all ages, at different stages of illness. The faculty are posted for guiding the students in all the areas at a ratio of 1 : 10.

    Hostel: The hostel block built in international style stands as a distinctive structure in the whole of the campus is a home away from home for female students. The hostel provides excellent living rooms, recreation facilities, sanitary facilities and good water supply for 24 hours.

    Faculty: The transformation of students as outstanding professionals truly lies in the hands of the faculty in any educational institution. The Apollo College of Nursing has distinct faculty with Post graduate qualification coupled with vast experience gleaned from the clinical field.

    Co-Curricular and extra Curricular Activities: The Co-curricular and extra curricular activities are organized regularly through Student Nurses Association, NSS and Youth Red Cross. The students participate in various intercollegiate competitions, exhibitions and community development programs.

    Sports:The sports facilities within the campus enables the students outdoor games such as Volleyball, throw ball, tennis, basket ball, High jump, Long Jump etc. The indoor games such as table Tennis, Chess, carom Board etc. are provided in the hostel.

    Scholarship: The reservation category students belonging to SC/ST/BC/MBC/DNC community shall approach for scholarships provided from District Adi Dravida Tribal Welfare Department and District Backward Classes & Minority Welfare Department, Thiruvalloor. The necessary information to be furnished in the Application Form for the same shall be forwarded by the College to the above authorities on request. The same procedure shall apply for students seeking educational loan from Nationalized Banks.

    Insurance: The students are covered under students safety insurance scheme.

Eligibility

    • There is no upper age limit for admission into the P.B. Diploma nursing courses.
    • Candidates ( Female ) for Admission to post basic Diploma nursing courses should have qualified in diploma in general nursing and midwifery or B.Sc nursing or Post basic B.Sc. nursing and be a registered nurses and midwife in the TamilNadu nurses and midwives council or equivalent.
    • The candidates ( Female ) graduated from other countries must obtain an equivalence certificate from Indian nursing council before admission.
