Post Basic Bachelor of Science (BSc) In Nursing

Overview

The Post‑Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a specialized two-year full-time undergraduate program tailored for diploma-trained nurses (G.N.M.). Offered in affiliation with Gujarat University and approved by INC/GNC, the course aims to build on existing nursing expertise by offering advanced knowledge and skills in areas like maternal and child health, pharmacology, mental health, community and surgical nursing, administration, education, and research. With a small cohort size (approximately 20 seats per year), it emphasizes individualized attention and clinical depth. Graduates become eligible for higher roles such as Staff Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Educator, or Nursing Administrator and may later pursue M.Sc. Nursing. Instruction is in English 

Eligibility

Must hold certificate in G.N.M. and be registered as RN/RM

Passed 10 + 2 or equivalent

In some cases, at least 1 year of clinical work experience post‑GNM may be required

Candidate must be medically fit and typically requires Gujarat domicile and participation in centralized counselling (ACPMEC) without entrance exam
