Post Basic Bachelor of Science (BSc) In Nursing

1.) Minimum Education:

• Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or Equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in before 1986 will be eligible for admission.
• Hold a diploma in general nursing and midwifery (GNM). & registered
• Be a registered nurse as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
• A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with state nurses registration council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:-
  1. OT Techniques
  2. Ophthalmic Nursing
  3. Leprosy Nursing
  4. TB Nursing
  5. Psychiatric Nursing
  6. Neurological & Neuro-surgical nursing
  7. Community Health Nursing
  8. Cancer Nursing
  9. Orthopedic Nursing
• Student must have appeared in university entrance examination and admitted in the college through proper counseling process.

2.) Be Medically fit / Have good personnel record.

Post Basic Degree in Nursing is broad based education aimed to build upon the skills and competencies acquired at the diploma in nursing level. It is specifically directed to the upgrading of critical thinking skills, competencies and standards required for practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in national health policy. The programme is intended to enable the graduates assume responsibilities as professional competent nurse and midwife at basic level in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services. The graduates make independent decisions in nursing situations protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services, and conduct research studies in the practice. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor, and manager in clinical/public health settings.

Documents submitted at the time of admission:

1. Original/provisional 10th, 10+2 and statement of marks of qualifying examination and other higher examination passed by the candidates.
2. Character/Conduct Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer/Head of the Institution last attended/ Tehsildar.
3. Domiciliary Certificate.
4. Migration Certificate/NOC from the university from which the candidate has passed her last examination.
5. Proof of category against which selected i.e. OBC/SC/ST/IRDP/Ex-Servicemen/WFF/PH.
6. Affidavit/ Undertaking by the Student and Guardians.
7. 10 Passport Size Photograph.
