The Post Basic program in B. Sc. Nursing is a two-year undergraduate course that consists of a holistic mixture of hands-on training and classroom lecturers for the students. The program covers almost all the necessary core subjects of the field like nursing foundation, psychology, medical and surgical nursing, microbiology, and other related subjects. As the students acquire both surgical and non-surgical nursing skills that prepare them for varied real-world clinical and hospital settings, they become future-ready for the medical world. Our sole aim through the means of this program is to prepare young candidates to take independent decisions in nursing situations and play a responsible role in treating the patients.

Candidate should have done Class 12 with a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and should have a registration in Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).

Admission Process:
In accordance with guidelines/principals laid down in the order of the Hon’ble supreme Court of the India in T.M.A. Pai Foundation and other Vs State of Karnataka, the admission of the candidate to a course is made on the merits prepared on the basis of entrance examination on All India basis and the subsequent interview held by the institute. 25% seats in all courses are reserved for NRI/sponsored candidates, for which their shall be direct admission on the basis of the marks obtained in qualifying examination and interview. The candidates should bring marksheet and certificates in original along with the photocopies at the time of the interview.
Distribution of Seats :-
75% seats of sanctioned intake will be open and will be filled through common entrance test and interview conducted by the Institute on the basis of merit. This 75% includes 10% seats of the sanctioned intake earn market for students belonging to poor and weaker section of the society including SC / ST / OBC and 50% seats of the sanctioned intake earn market to the bonafide candidate of Uttarakhand State, 2% Physically Challenged and 1% for students bonafied of J. & K. State. In case, the above category seat remains vacant after the expiry of the time given to the candidates of the second list, the seats shall revert to the general category.
