Overview
- In post basic BSc Nursing (also referred to as PBBSc), candidates are provided a holistic mixture of classroom lectures and hands-on training. Admission to the course is usually done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written entrance exam conducted at university/ institute level. However, some institutions also provide direct admission to candidates on the basis of merit.

Eligibility
- Candidates should clear Class 12th from a recognised board preferably in Science stream
- Candidates should be registered as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM)
- Candidates should possess a three-year diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
- Male candidates who have not done midwifery in GNM should possess a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery

Admission Process:
The following documents needs to be submitted at the time of admission:
- A copy of the Certificate having passed the last examination.
- A copy of the Matriculation Mark Sheet indicating the date of birth.
- A copy of 10+2 or equivalent examination with a detailed mark sheet.
- Character Certificate from school /college.
- SC/ST/BC, Rural Area Certificate attested by 1st class magistrate.
- An eligibility migration certificate for a candidate who has passed from board/university other than Punjab boards and Universities for B.Sc. (N) only. (If selected, migration certificate has to be deposited within 15 days of their admission.)
- Proof of residence.
- Ten recent passport-size photographs.
- All certificates need to be submitted in original at the time of admission.
