Overview
- We believe that students must get the best of facilities to enhance their Nursing Skills and thus we have spacious and well ventilated Classrooms with latest Audio Visual Equipment along with Good Lab Facilities for demonstration.
- The well equipped library with all necessary national and international journals will be of great help to nursing students. The library is equipped with enough computers with internet connection for browsing. This will be helpful to research students. Apart from this, it is also attached with Xerox facility. Students can make full use of these facilities.
- Dhanvantri college of Nursing is having a strategically located library with college. It has a seating capacity for 125 students and staff. It works 362 days per being open from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm on all working days and from 8.00am - 1.00 pm on all holidays. Library stocks over 4,000 books (text books, reference books) journals and magazines. The library has also e.-resources like (Ds/DVDs (240 no). Audio videos (50) and access to on line journals. The library has an archives section (over 60 issues) with back issues. A central museum, micro reader and printers are available in the library. Reprographic facilities like Xerox and CD drives help the students to save their personal energy.
- Seven computers are available for net access in the library. Internet access is available with band access at a speed of I MBPS free of cost. Separate terminals are available. Students and faculty internet access is also available in the active learning centre that has 5 computers. Also, the college of nursing has exclusively 4 computers that can be used by nursing students for computing facilities.

Eligibility
- Should have qualified in Diploma in Nursing and be a registered Nurse and Midwife in the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council or any other State Nursing Council and also register in the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council accepted by the University.
- After GNM with the Registration certificate from the Tamil Nadu State Nursing Council, the candidate can be permitted to join in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing without work experience.
- If the registration certificate cannot be obtained immediately, the original evidence for registration in the form of receipt or any other authenticated document from the office of the Tamil Nadu State Nursing Council will be acceptable in lieu of the Registration Certificate.
- To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate shall have:
- Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10 + 1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
- Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.
- Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of medical Fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course.
