Overview
The duration of the programme and the time for submission of thesis are counted from the date of provisional registration.
The minimum duration of the programme is three years for Full Time and Four years for Part Time candidates including the time spent in fulfilling Course-work.
The maximum duration of the programme, including Course-work, shall be six years for Full time and Seven years for Part time candidates for all
the Faculties.

Eligibility
- M. Pharm with at least 55% marks or its equivalent 55% marks in aggregate marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7- Point Scale (or an equivalent Grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
- A relaxation of 5% of marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled categories of candidates.
The candidate aspiring admission for Ph.D. must have consistently good academic performance all through. The candidate must satisfy the below mentioned educational qualification specified as in the KPGU Ph.D. Regulations :

Admission Process:
- The admission will be based on the following Ph.D. Entrance Test (KPGU-PET) followed by an interview. The candidates who secure 50% marks in entrance test and interview put together are eligible for admission.
- A relaxation of 5% marks (from 50% to 45%) shall be allowed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC (Non-Creamy layer)/Differently abled category.
- Candidates qualified with M.Phil. Degree from an approved University or qualified in UGC-JRF/ UGC CSIR/NET /GATE /GPAT/ or any equivalent National Level Examination performance as accepted by UGC will be exempted from the PET but they have to appear for the interview.
- A common merit list will be prepared for admission based on availability of seats.
