The recognition of the importance of the relationship between the Oro-dental tissues to the other systems of the human body led to the establishment of the separate speciality of Oral Medicine & Radiology. The motto of the department being to "Teach and Treat", the objectives are
- 1. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and clinical aspects of Oral Medicine & Radiology.
- 2. To improve analytical and diagnostic skills in identifying oral diseases and their relationships to the other systems.

Candidates with MDS or Dental PG Diploma are eligible for enrollment of Ph.D Course in Dentistry in concerned subjects only.
