PhD in Community Health Nursing

On completion of the Ph.D(N) programme the students will acquire the:

1. Ability to understand and utilise various research methods in their area of practice.
2. Ability in carrying out major research work in their area of specialisation including application of major nursing theories.
3. Ability to locate funding agencies and identify various resources for research activities.
4. Ability in writing research proposal.
5. Ability to communicate research findings to the nursing profession and general public.
6. Ability to critically evaluate and use the findings of research for evidenced based practice.
7. Duration for Full Time: 3 yrs.
8. Duration for Part Time: 4 yrs.

1. The Candidate must have completed M.Sc(N) with 65% and must have a minimum of 5 yrs PG teaching experience.
2. The Candidate must be employed in the Affiliated institute of The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.
