PhD in Chemistry

Students should have completed a master's degree in science or an M.Phil. degree in a relevant field.

The intensive coursework for the Ph.D. programme in chemistry includes both general and in-depth coursework, the creation of project proposals, research and literature seminars, extensive dissertation research conducted under the guidance of a research adviser, and a public thesis defense. Students who complete PhD programmes in chemistry are prepared to work in the chemical or allied sectors, as educators and researchers in public or private academic or non-academic organisations, or to promote the discipline of chemistry.
