- Must have a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) degree from a recognized university
- Must complete 1-year compulsory internship before admission
- Must qualify the entrance exam AIAPGET (All India AYUSH PG Entrance Test)
- Must have valid registration with:
- State Ayurvedic Council OR
- National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM)
- Usually require minimum ~50% marks in BAMS (varies by category/college)
- No upper age limit for AIAPGET exam
- Admission is done through central/state counselling based on AIAPGET rank
