Overview
The emphasis shall be on in-service training and not on didactic lectures. The candidate should take part in seminars, group discussions, clinical meetings and journal club. The candidate shall be required to write a dissertation with detailed commentary, which would provide the candidate with necessary background of training in research. Methods and techniques along with the art of writing research papers and learning and making use of library. The candidate shall be in the hospital campus and shall be given graded responsibility in the management and treatment of patients entrusted to his care. He shall participate in teaching and training of under graduate students and/or interns.

Eligibility
Candidate seeking admission to M.D.(Homoeopathy)should possess the degree of Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery or equivalent qualification in Homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the Act, after undergoing a course of study of not less than five years and six months duration including one year compulsory internship; or Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (Graded Degree) or equivalent qualification in Homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the Act, after undergoing a course of study of not less than two years duration. The university or the authority appointed by Central government or State government shall select candidate on merit for P.G. Course. The preference shall be given to candidates who have worked in rural areas for two years in respect of one seat in each subject as per merit.

Admission Process:
Admission is merit bases and it depends on the ranking in All India Ayurveda Post Graduation Entrance Test (AIAPGET). Admission of students will be on the basis of merit. Candidates seeking admission must submit an application to the Principal in the prescribed form, which can be obtained from the office during working hours or downloaded online. The completed application form along with the photocopies of certificates and a D.D. for Rs. 400.00 in favour of Dr. B.D. Jatti Homoeopathic Medical College payable at Dharwad must be submitted either in person or by registered post so as to reach this office NOT LATER THAN 30-06-2008. The completed application form is to be sent to: Principal, Dr. B.D. Jatti Homoeopathic Medical College, D.C. Compound, Dharwad, Karnataka State - 580001. Selection and admission to all courses will be provisional and is subject to the norms, provisions made applicable by the Government of Karnataka. The candidates who meet the above requirements are required to appear for entrance test conducted Online at www.bdjhmc.com. Candidates provisionally selected after the entrance test will be intimated about the fees payable to the institution.
