Peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC) Line Training Program

Peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC) are an integral part of haematology and oncology care and treatment. On the one end PICCs provide excellent venous access for long term treatment but on the other end, they are prone for complications in not cared or maintained properly. The most important aspect of PICC line care is having a dedicated team of nurses who are trained in PICC insertion as well as care and maintenance to avoid post insertion complications and infections.

Our training program includes teaching modules, hands-on practice of PICC insertion, Care & Maintenance, Troubleshooting as well as record keeping and infection control measures. Training program concludes with formal exit test and certification in a ceremony.

Two types of training programs are available for nurses.

• PICC insertion and care/ maintenance program of one week duration with a program fee of Rs 5000 per candidate
• PICC care and maintenance program of 2 days duration with a program fee of Rs 3000 per candidate

Application for training duly forwarded by institution head/ department head along with a CV can be sent at mentioned emails. Entry/ selection to the program rights is fully reserved. Program fee is payable on day 1 of or before start of training in cash or demand draft in favour of Indraprastha Cancer Society and Research Centre Delhi
