The Pediatrics Residency Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, affiliated with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, is an ACGME-accredited three-year program designed to develop exceptional pediatricians through rigorous clinical training, scholarly activity, and leadership development. As one of the nation's leading freestanding children's hospitals, Lurie Children's provides residents with exposure to a diverse pediatric patient population across primary, tertiary, and quaternary care settings. The curriculum emphasizes family-centered care, evidence-based medicine, advocacy, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Residents participate in structured educational conferences, simulation-based training, continuity clinics, research opportunities, and individualized career pathways. Dedicated elective time and mentorship enable residents to explore subspecialty interests, global health, medical education, health equity, and physician-scientist careers. Graduates are well prepared for certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and pursue careers in general pediatrics, academic medicine, hospital medicine, or competitive pediatric subspecialty fellowships.
