Pediatric Surgery Residency

Step 1:

Complete an MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized medical school.

Step 2:

Register through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).

Step 3:

Submit required documents:

• Medical school transcript
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Personal statement
• Letters of recommendation
• Dean's Letter/MSPE
• USMLE scores
• ECFMG certificate (for IMGs)

Step 4:

Apply to the General Surgery Residency Program through ERAS.

Step 5:

Register with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Step 6:

Applications are reviewed by the General Surgery Residency Selection Committee.

Step 7:

Selected applicants receive interview invitations.

Step 8:

Participate in interviews with faculty members and program leadership.

Step 9:

Successful applicants match into General Surgery Residency through NRMP.

Step 10:

Residents complete Pediatric Surgery rotations during residency training.

Step 11:

Interested graduates may apply separately for Pediatric Surgery Fellowship training after General Surgery residency completion.
