Occupational Health Assistant (OHA)

Overview

The Medical Assistant Course for Occupational Health Centre (MACOHC) is a short-term training program organized by the Indian Association of Occupational Health, Vadodara Branch. It is specially designed to provide fundamental knowledge and practical skills to paramedical staff, including nurses and health assistants, who assist in occupational health centres of industries. This course is conducted on six Sundays and includes theoretical sessions and a multiple-choice examination at the end. The curriculum covers essential topics like occupational diseases, medical surveillance, health education, and documentation in workplace health. A certificate of participation is awarded to those who attend all sessions and pass the final exam.

Eligibility

Minimum SSC (10th pass)

Preference given to candidates with experience in industrial health/dispensary

Open to paramedical professionals, nursing staff, and occupational health support workers
