The Nuclear Radiology Fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine provides advanced subspecialty training in molecular imaging and nuclear medicine through the Department of Radiology. The fellowship is designed to prepare radiologists for independent practice in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear imaging while developing expertise in modern molecular imaging technologies. Fellows gain extensive exposure to PET/CT, SPECT/CT, hybrid imaging systems, oncologic imaging, cardiac nuclear imaging, endocrine imaging, neurological imaging, and radionuclide therapy applications. Training is conducted across NYU Langone Health's major clinical facilities, where fellows participate in the interpretation of complex diagnostic studies and multidisciplinary patient management. The curriculum emphasizes the clinical application of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, imaging physics, quality assurance, and emerging theranostic approaches. Fellows work closely with specialists in oncology, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, and radiation oncology to understand the role of nuclear imaging in precision medicine. The program includes dedicated academic conferences, case reviews, journal clubs, research opportunities, and faculty mentorship. Graduates are prepared for careers in academic radiology, nuclear medicine departments, cancer centers, molecular imaging programs, and advanced diagnostic imaging practices.
