Nuclear Medicine Residency Program

The Nuclear Medicine Residency Program at UCSF School of Medicine is a 24–36 month ACGME-accredited residency designed to train physicians in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. The program provides advanced training in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, with the training duration determined by the resident’s prior clinical training and experience. UCSF’s Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics Division offers multiple training pathways aimed at developing physicians as leaders in nuclear medicine.

1. Submit an application to the UCSF Nuclear Medicine Residency program.
2. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
3. UCSF does not participate in the national resident matching program (NRMP Match) for this Nuclear Medicine Residency.
4. Applicants should follow the UCSF Nuclear Medicine Residency and Fellowship application instructions and provide the required supporting documents.
5. Applications are reviewed by the program, and qualified candidates may be selected for an interview.
6. Final appointment is subject to UCSF’s applicable credentialing, licensing, and GME requirements.
