Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College & Hospital (NRSMC&H), Kolkata

During its long journey over the last 146 years, Nilratan Sircar Medical College has grown both physically and intellectually. Presently it offers Under Graduate (250 intake annually), Post Graduate (in 19 disciplines) as well as Post Doctoral courses (in 11 disciplines). It is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). College also offers M.Sc, B.Sc and Diploma courses in Nursing and as many as ten Para Medical diploma courses. The College was initially affiliated to University of Calcutta. Since 2003, it is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata. The college has its own hospital with 1920 beds.

Facilities:

Lecture Theater: The college has as many as eight Lecture Theatres of varying capacities.

Playground: There is a large Play Ground within the campus.

Hostel Facility: Hostels for UG and PG students, both boys and girls are there as per recommendation of MCI. NRS Medical College has nine hostels for UG/PG students. One each for UG Boys and Girls with 600 plus and 200 plus accommodation respectively.

Auditorium: The college has one large Auditorium in the Academy Building and one State of the Art e-Class Room.

Library: The centrally air conditioned reading area of the students has been separated into two segments with 250 seating capacity each. Separate reading rooms for Faculty members, Post Graduate and Paramedical students complements the rich learning experience.
