Murshidabad Medical College is a government-run medical college located very near to Berhampore Court Railway Station. The college was established in 2012. The Hospital serves the people of the districts Murshidabad, Birbhum and the northern part of Nadia by providing preventive, diagnostic and curative services to the community. The college has a capacity of 125 MBBS seats which is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by Medical Council of India. Students are admitted through NEET. The college is also affiliated by State Medical Faculty (SMFWB) for conducting para medical courses as per their syllabus. There are 70 para medical seats and these are filled with students screened by entrance examination conducted by SNFWB.
