MS Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)

Overview

The MS–ENT programme at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital offers comprehensive training in otorhinolaryngology with emphasis on both clinical and surgical skills. The three-year course exposes students to a wide spectrum of ENT conditions including otology, rhinology, laryngology, head and neck surgery, and emergency ENT care. Residents receive hands-on training in outpatient services, ward management, operating theatres, and diagnostic procedures under experienced faculty supervision. The associated teaching hospital provides adequate patient load, ensuring consistent clinical exposure. Academic activities such as seminars, case presentations, journal clubs, and research work form an integral part of the curriculum. The programme aims to produce competent ENT surgeons capable of independent practice, academic roles, or further super-speciality training.

Eligibility

1. MBBS qualification recognised by the National Medical Commission
2. Completed compulsory rotating internship on or before the cutoff date
3. Valid NEET-PG score for the admission year
4. Medical registration certificate (permanent or provisional)
5. Must fulfil counselling authority and institutional requirements
