Overview

The MS in Otorhinolaryngology programme at GMC Jammu is a comprehensive three-year surgical specialist training course designed to equip ENT surgeons with the clinical, operative and research competencies required in the field. According to listings, the programme has offered 13 seats in recent years. The total tuition fee for the full three years is approximately ₹ 75,000 (for tuition; other charges may apply). During the training, residents gain exposure to a broad case-mix in a government referral hospital, involving ear surgeries, rhinology, head and neck oncology, voice/laryngology, paediatric ENT, cochlear implants, and community outreach services. Being part of a government medical college in the Jammu region, the programme benefits from both high patient volume and varied pathology, offering substantive surgical and diagnostic exposure. Successful completion opens pathways as consultant ENT surgeons, academic faculty, or further subspeciality training (e.g., temporal bone surgery, skull-base surgery).
