Overview

The MS ENT (Otorhinolaryngology) programme at AIIMS Rajkot is a three-year postgraduate degree designed to train specialists in ENT surgery and clinical practice. Students undergo comprehensive training in both theory and hands-on clinical work focused on ear, nose, throat, head & neck. This includes diagnosing and treating infections, performing surgical procedures (e.g. tympanoplasty, sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, laryngeal surgery), managing voice/swallowing/tracheal issues, and handling emergencies. The department has faculty (e.g. Assistant Professors) and infrastructure to support OPD services, surgical theatres, and diagnostic tools. Because AIIMS Rajkot is relatively new, many clinical facilities and patient load are still expanding, providing students the chance to contribute to growth of services and gain varied exposure. Regular academic activities (seminars, case discussions), clinical rotations, and evaluation are integral parts of the training. Graduates can go on to practice in hospitals, become consultants, take up teaching or research in ENT, and treat both medical and surgical ENT conditions.
