MS Orthopedics

1. Must possess a recognized MBBS degree
2. Completion of Compulsory Rotating Residential Internship (CRRI)
3. Valid permanent or provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
4. NEET-PG qualification is mandatory
5. Admission through State quota or All India quota counseling

The MS Orthopaedics program at Tagore Medical College & Hospital provides extensive postgraduate training in musculoskeletal medicine and surgery. The department exposes students to a wide spectrum of orthopedic cases including trauma, congenital deformities, joint disorders, spine conditions, and sports injuries. Postgraduate students receive hands-on experience in operative procedures such as fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and corrective surgeries. The program integrates clinical practice with academic activities such as seminars, journal clubs, case presentations, and dissertation research. Faculty members mentor residents in surgical skills, clinical decision-making, and ethical patient care. Graduates are trained to function independently as competent orthopedic surgeons in hospitals, trauma centers, and academic settings.

1. Appear for and qualify NEET-PG examination
2. Register for Tamil Nadu State PG Medical Counseling or All India Quota counseling (MCC)
3. Select MS Orthopaedics – Tagore Medical College & Hospital, Chennai during choice filling
4. Seat allotment based on NEET-PG rank, category, and seat availability
5. Report to the institute for document verification and fee payment
6. Complete admission formalities and commence postgraduate training
