MS Orthopedics

1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised institution.
2. Completion of compulsory one-year clinical internship.
3. Qualify NEET-PG (NTA).
4. Registration with the State/NMC medical council.
5. Participation in UP NEET-PG counselling for seat allocation.

The MS – Orthopaedics program at National Capital Region Institute of Medical Sciences, Meerut is a three-year comprehensive surgical training designed to build expertise in orthopaedic medicine and surgery. Trainees gain extensive exposure in managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions including bone fractures, joint dislocations, congenital deformities, sports injuries, infections, and degenerative disorders through both outpatient clinics and operative theatres. The program integrates clinical work with academic learning, regular seminars, case presentations, and skill development sessions. Orthopaedic residents benefit from hands-on surgical experience under senior faculty supervision, involvement in trauma care, pre- and post-operative patient management, and interdisciplinary collaboration with other surgical and medical specialties. The training also emphasizes professional ethics, evidence-based practice, and development of clinical judgement, preparing graduates for independent practice or higher fellowship training.
