MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission.

Completed 12-month internship by March 31 of the admission year.

Seat allotted through state (UPDGME) and/or All India (MCC) counseling.

The MS – Orthopaedics program at NIIMS is a three-year postgraduate surgical training course designed to develop expert orthopaedic surgeons. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in trauma and fracture management, joint replacement surgery, arthroscopy and sports medicine, pediatric orthopaedics, spine surgery, hand surgery, and musculoskeletal oncology. Students get hands-on exposure to both elective and emergency orthopaedic care, learning advanced surgical procedures, rehabilitation techniques, and interdisciplinary approaches to patient treatment. Clinical rotations in associated hospital departments ensure that candidates gain practical experience in pre-operative assessment, operative procedures, and post-operative management of orthopaedic patients. This program prepares graduates for careers as orthopaedic consultants, trauma specialists, and surgical leaders in hospitals or private practice.

1. Qualify NEET-PG: Appear for and secure a valid NEET-PG score.
2. Register for Counseling: Register online for UPDGME (Uttar Pradesh) and/or MCC (All India Quota) counseling.
3. Choice Filling: During choice filing, select MS Orthopaedics at NIIMS as a preferred course/college.
4. Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on NEET-PG rank, reservation category, and counseling round.
5. Document Verification: Attend document verification at the designated nodal center for counseling.
6. Fee Payment & Reporting: Pay the required fees and report to NIIMS to finalize admission.
7. Commencement: Begin academic sessions and clinical training as per the institute schedule.
