Overview
The MS in Orthopaedics at IQ City Medical College, Durgapur is a three-year clinical postgraduate program designed to train doctors in advanced orthopaedic and trauma care. The curriculum integrates comprehensive clinical exposure, surgical hands-on experience, and academic theory, enabling students to manage a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions — from fractures and joint disorders to deformities and sports injuries. Training includes pre-operative assessment, operative techniques (such as fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint replacement), and post-operative rehabilitation. The college’s multi-specialty hospital with a high patient load ensures diverse clinical cases and real-world learning. Under the guidance of experienced faculty and through structured rotations in clinics, emergency, and operation theatres, students develop the diagnostic judgment, surgical competence, and patient-care skills needed for practice as orthopaedic surgeons.
