MS Orthopedics

1. MBBS degree recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
2. Permanent/Provisional Medical Registration (State or National).
3. Valid NEET-PG score with inclusion in the All-India merit list.
4. Participation in DGHS/MCC counselling for postgraduate medical admissions.
5. Meet additional criteria as specified by the affiliating university and NMC.

The MS – Orthopaedics programme at Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Pune is part of the institution’s postgraduate (MD/MS) medical offerings launched from the academic year 2025-26, following approval by the National Medical Commission. The course trains specialist surgeons in musculoskeletal care, including trauma management, joint replacement, arthroscopy, deformity correction, sports injuries, and complex reconstructive procedures. Comprehensive clinical exposure is provided through the Symbiosis University Hospital & Research Centre (SUHRC), a large tertiary care teaching hospital on campus. The curriculum combines rigorous academics, hands-on surgical training, participation in multidisciplinary case management, and research opportunities, preparing graduates for independent surgical practice or further specialised training.

1. Qualify NEET-PG with a valid score and obtain an All-India Rank.
2. Register for counselling through the Medical Counselling Committee (DGHS/MCC) or deemed university counselling platform.
3. Participate in choice filling and seat allotment based on merit and availability.
4. Accept the allotted seat for MS – Orthopaedics at SMCW Pune.
5. Report to the college within the stipulated dates.
6. Complete document verification and fee payment.
7. Undergo medical fitness checks and enrolment formalities.
8. Commence academic and clinical training according to the academic calendar.
